Some babies are just happy. This baby boy is one of those “just happy” little guys. He loves to interact and smile. You might remember his 6 month portrait session! This one was just as enjoyable.
His mom always finds the cutest clothes. She’s especially good at finding adorable shoes and hats. It was a bare-feet kind of session so you won’t get to see any new shoes in this post, but fear not! You get to see an adorable little plaid hat.
First, I’d like to share the 10×20 digital collage I created from three of my favorite poses. All Collages are mounted and sit on a small easel or easily be put into a frame. I usually frame portraits for my clients, but some choose to do it on their own or go to a local framer.
I just love the brown and blue tones in this first set!
This little rocking chair has served me well for many years. He really liked sitting in it (not all babies like the unsteady rocking). Really, what he wanted most was to get OUT of the chair and explore. Still, I’m fast and was able to not only get a few great shots, but surprisingly, I was able to get a good one of him with Curious George. That monkey, by the way, has been photographed many times in our studio. Big sister brought him along too!
He loved my plush, blue boy’s chair too. He must have felt big and important in it because he looked so proud of himself. I love to have them peek over the back of the chair too. He didn’t mind sitting on his knees and really enjoyed our game of peek-a-boo.
In this last pose, mom is just outside of the frame (or maybe her hand even made it in the shot and I edited it out). He was very sturdy on the apple crate, but I didn’t want to take any chances. Don’t you just love his chunky little baby feet? I have the best job in the world! I enjoy my time with these little ones so much. Thank God for the invention of the camera. Without it, all those little things (like cute little feet and goofy smiles) would soon be forgotten. It’s awesome that I get to help preserve those special little details for so many families.
He’s a Baby Steps portrait plan participant so you’ll see him again in a few months. I’m sure his parents are already planning his first birthday party.
If you are interested in the Baby Steps baby plan, take a look at this page. Let me know you know you found it from baby’s Jame’s blog entry and I’ll have a special price for you!
Thanks for visiting. Happy Wednesday!
