November special Number ONE {Family Photographer in St. Charles}

Ok, I feel really bad.  I’ve been teasing the Facebook crowd about some really great things.  Today is the day when I start with the November specials!  I’m excited to reward you, my loyal clients and my future new ones too.

Throughout November I will post some specials that I think are really special.  I rarely do this but thought it was time for some killer deals.  I am thankful for the wonderful FAMILY of clients I have met over the past six years that I’ve had my portrait business.  To celebrate all of you, my first special is for families.

On-Location Family Portrait Session

Purchase an on-location family session for the $90 session fee and receive a free Accordion Book (valued at $120) featuring images from that session.   That’s an AWESOME deal.  Everyone who sees the accordion albums loves them.  But wait there’s more! (I’ve always wanted to say that , LOL).  For every ten people who schedule a future family session, I am giving away a free 11×14 Gallery Wrap Canvas.  That’s a $312 value!  Everyone who refers friends also gets the regular referral gift (free 8×10).

Here are the full details:

• Purchase an on-location family portrait session for $90 (immediate family)
• Call 636-947-5956 or email karen@karen-photography to purchase the session
• Hold that family photo session any time between now and Friday, August 31, 2012 and you receive a free 3×3 Accordian Album.
• Comment here on the blog or on the Facebook Business page that you scheduled a family session (that way we can keep track of 10 bookings to give away the canvas)
• All referrals and referrers receive the regular referral gifts (free 8×10 or save them up for the larger gifts)
• You must purchase by 11/11/11 to be eligible for the freebies above
• Every time we reach 10 new family bookings I will assign each person a number and use a random number generator to pick the winner of the canvas (that means at 10, 20, 30 etc)
• You may purchase more than one family session.  They make great gifts too.  For multiple purchases, your name would count as multiple entries.  (If you purchase one for yourself and one for a gift, you are counted as TWO bookings)
• Additional accordion albums may be purchased for the add-on prices as is listed in the pricing booklets.
• If you do not hold the appointment by August, 31, 2012, you forfeit the free gift(s) and it becomes a regular portrait session.
• Gallery wraps and Accordion book gifts are not transferable and are for the above family session only
• Any St. Charles, St. Peters, St. Louis, Wentzville, or other location within 15 miles of the studio may be selected for no additional charge.  Locations farther than that will have an additional travel fee
• A family session is for immediate family.  Larger family groups may also purchase at the group rate which fits your group size.  Larger family groups are also included in this special

August 22-26 Gone Fishin’ LTD {St. Charles Children’s Photographer}

I’ve included a google calendar that lists ONLY Limited Edition and Mini-Sessions.  Some spaces have already been scheduled for the Gone Fishin’ LTD for next month.  Take a look at the calendar (you’ll have to scroll over to August 22 and following) and pick your time slot.  If you want an evening space, those will become available after we receive all the school sports and dance calendars.  At that time, the school-year evening hours schedule will also be set.

What is a Limited Edition or Mini-Session?  For only a few days, we put together and bring out an elaborate set-up which is much more than a typical portrait session.  It takes quite a bit of time and planning to get these sets prepared which is why it is only for a couple of days each year.  Limited Edition sessions last between 30 and 45 minutes.  The last time we did the Gone Fishin’ theme was in 2008 so you won’t want to miss out on this round!

Mini-Sessions are similar in that more props and planning are involved than for that of a regular portrait session, but they are based around a U.S. Holiday and are only 15-25 minutes long.  In addition, since we will only have 10-15 photos from which to choose after a mini-session, you are encouraged to view them before you leave the studio, and place your order at that time.  This expedited the ordering process and allows you to receive your portraits in time for the upcoming holiday!  All orders placed at the time of the mini-session will receive a 20% discount.

These are so much fun and your children will have a great time playing with unique props and set-ups (not to mention all the fun in the costumes and unique clothing).

Call today to schedule your LTD and Mini-sessions.  If it’s on the calendar, it’s not too early to get scheduled!  As of today, we have through February 2012 listed.

St. Charles, MO – FUN photographer for babies, toddlers and children!

New Blog

Hello friends, clients, fans and everyone else!  After an entire YEAR of not blogging, I’ve finally gotten a new blog for the studio.

What happened Karen?  Why did you take a year off?

Previously, I used Blogger for my blog, but I hosted it on my own website.  They decided to change things up and force us to use their own servers for everything.  Not wanting to play their games, I thought I’d be “smart” and switch companies.  Well, I have enough knowledge to be self sufficient, but not enough to make the switch a seamless one.  Somehow, I “broke” my blog.  I could not migrate it into this new fancy WordPress one.

Then, last March, we had a very small fire in the fuse box.  That threw my office into chaos.  I moved out for months while Ferber Electric did the repairs and my husband did a beautiful remodel.  The next thing I remember, it was the fall and I was deep in the throws of crazy family schedules, and all the fall/winter crazy studio stuff.  High school seniors, families and bunches of babies are much more fun that trying to fix, create or re-do a blog.

So, here I am.  Finally getting around to this task.

I know many of you kept up on Facebook.  That’s awesome.  Please keep up that contact.  Facebook is a TERRIFIC social site.  🙂  I want to apologize to all the rest of you for making you think the blog was a “dud”.

Thank you to my wonderful clients who kept me busy in 2010.  I might not have blogged about your sessions or shared your portraits, but I loved all the terrific stuff we did together last year.

Here’s to a wonderful 2011 and beyond.
